Growing up in a small town within the coastal mountain range of Oregon, composer Jasper Randall began his musical studies at an early age. Following the completion of his music degree at Azusa Pacific University, he continued graduate studies in composition at the University of Southern California, after which he began working alongside veteran film composer Christopher Young while pursuing his own scoring projects. Following three and a half years of collaboration, Jasper continued pursuing his own scoring projects full time, including award winning shorts, feature films and multiple national commercials for Mercedes Benz, BMW, Lexus and Boeing.

In 2015, Jasper was appointed as the Composer-In-Residence for the Los Robles Master Chorale under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Lesley Leighton.  Since that time, he has had multiple choral works published, with his piece “Alleluia” winning the 37th Annual Choral Composition Contest at New York’s Ithaca College. One of his first commissions, “The Cloths of Heaven”, won the 2nd Annual CA ACDA Composition Contest.  His original choral works and arrangements have been performed by such renowned groups as the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Los Angeles Chamber Singers, Golden Bridge and the Santa Clarita Master Chorale.

In addition to his scoring and choral work, Jasper has established himself as one of the foremost vocal and choral contractors within the entertainment industry, spanning over 400 film and television projects as well as dozens of albums, video games and live performances.  He has contracted, conducted and arranged for blockbuster films such as Avatar, Frozen 1 & 2 and La La Land.  Artist and producer collaborations include The Weeknd, Florence and the Machine, Daniel Lopatin, Tenacious D, Greg Kurstin, Josh Groban, Glen Ballard, Halsey, Harvey Mason Jr. and Lorde, among others. In addition to his vocal and choral work, he has conducted orchestral scores for such esteemed film composers such as Steve Jablonksy, Lorne Balfe, Harry Gregson-Williams, Kevin Kiner and Rupert Gregson-Williams.

This extensive background in orchestral film music has permeated all aspects of his composition and arrangements.  Journey, line and passion are essential themes to his compositional style. In 2019, Jasper and Peter Rotter formed Encompass Creative to further service their clientele across the industry.  Since that time, they have produced music for dozens of film and TV projects including The Morning Show, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, Euphoria, Hunters, Walker: Independence and The Righteous Gemstones, reaching across every major production company in the industry.

Jasper lives with his wife Sara and their four daughters Emily, Claira, Ruby and Matilda in Los Angeles, CA.
